We have been in the process of developing TimeLog Project version 4.4 for some time now and is now ready to present the next version's overall topics. We expect to release the new version during autumn 2007.
The most radical difference our customers and users will experience with TimeLog Project 4.4 is the restructuring of TimeLog Project's invoice module. The new version of the invoice module supports a number of new billing opportunities such as billing of fixed-price projects, billing on subscription or billing based on milestones. This is meant to make our customers and users' work day easier and more efficient than ever.
Further to an updated invoice module TimeLog Project's current GANTT charts will get a graphical and operational brush-up. Additionally, TimeLog Project's GANTT chart will be restructured in order to work in a common web browser. Basically, it means that print, presentation and communication will become much better.
WebServices / XML. We are also developing an API for TimeLog Project so it becomes possible to draw data from TimeLog Project into other systems. Hence TimeLog Project can be part of an IT system network comparable to SOA (service Oriented Architecture) and SAAS (Software As A Service).
The graphic design has also been changed in version 4.4. The width of TimeLog Project has increased from 800 pixels to 960 pixels. This enhances the possibility to have numerous data in the reports.
In addition, TimeLog has a number of new reports ready for version 4.4. E.g. version 4.4 will include new reports to analyse and report project efficiency, mileage and employee cost, just to mention a few. For those of our customers who use the add-on module TimeLog Enterprise, version 4.4 will also include new department reports.
