Maintaining contacts

It is a great help to have an updated database with your customers’ contacts. In this way, you secure efficient communication when you contact your customers and get hold of the right person right away.

If you get notified of changes in contacts, you can deactivate a contact by searching for him or her and remove the tick in Active below the name information. On the same page, it is possible to create a new contact by pressing New contact to the right, or you may choose +New contact in the Customers menu.

Furthermore, you have the option to enable extended search options in the system administration, which then offers you more search options in the Search contact menu. This means that you can e.g. search for all inactive customers’ contacts or you may narrow your search to include the groups in which you have created customers and contacts. This provides several more detailed search options.

If you have not enabled it yet, you may do so under the System administration -> Customers –> Customer module/CRM setting and tick off Advanced contact search options.

And remember; if you export data to Excel regardless if from Search customers or Search contacts, you receive more data than you see in TimeLog Project.
