Time tracking led to better bottom line

By using TimeLog Project Stig Jørgensen & Partners has improved their management of time, resource allocation and finances.

The consultancy Stig Jørgensen & Partners specialises in counselling and helping companies and organisations to improve their profitability. Since 2003 Stig Jørgensen & Partners has been using TimeLog Project to increase their profitability. By using TimeLog Project Stig Jørgensen & Partners has been able to focus on the customers’ needs and gain control of their resource allocation.

“Based on what we have actually sold the customer, we are now able to allocate resources efficiently and avoid working on areas not specified by the customer. We have been able to do what was promised, and do just that. This has saved us at least € 400K since this summer,” says partner Mikael Rasmussen at Stig Jørgensen & Partners.

Our central financial system

In the consultancy business the most valuable resource is time. When the company is project based, it is important to know how and where time is deployed. Tracking time in TimeLog Project maps the time consumption, thus providing valuable insights for project management.

We are extremely happy with TimeLog Project, and use it extensively. In the first quarter of 2006 alone we have saved at least € 400K by using TimeLog Project for project management. It is pure profitability.

“Time is our most valuable resource. When we chose TimeLog Project our ambition was to establish how much time we spent and on what. Now, we register all our project related expenses in the system, and TimeLog Project is thereby headed towards becoming our central finance system. TimeLog Project has thus evolved from simply tracking time to replacing Navision as our reference system on projects,” says partner Mikael Rasmussen.

Easy and web based

Not only has TimeLog Project improved Stig Jørgensen & Partner’s finances and resource management, the fact that it is web based has also proven to be an advantage.

“Before we started using TimeLog Project we tracked time in C5, but really wanted a web based system. Many of our consultants work out of the house, and are not in their offices from 9 to 5. Using a web based time tracking system makes it much easier for them,” says Lars Hornsleth, CFO at Stig Jørgensen & Partners.
