Time Tracking Improved the Baseline

The consulting company Stig Jørgensen & Partners offers help and advice to companies and organisations that wish to improve their cost-effectiveness. During the last two and a half years Stig Jørgensen & Partners has used TimeLog Project, which has shown to improve the company's own cost-effectiveness. By using TimeLog Project, Stig Jørgensen & Partners has been able to focus on their customers' needs and has thereby gained control of their resource expenditure.

"By focusing on what we in fact have sold to our customers as well as our resource estimate, we can now do exactly as agreed with the customer and avoid workloads outside our agreement scope. This has saved us at least 2 million DKK since last summer", says Mr. Michael Rasmussen, partner at Stig Jørgensen & Partners.

TimeLog Project as the Key Financial Management System

We are extremely satisfied with TimeLog Project and use it to a very large extent. In the first quarter of 2006 we saved at least 400,000 Euro by using TimeLog Project for project management. That is cost-effectiveness.

Time is of great value in the consulting industry. This also applies to Stig & Jørgensen Partners. When a company is built around projects it is important to have knowledge of how time is used. With TimeLog Project's time tracking you are not only provided with a picture of the expenditure of time, but you also acquire valuable knowledge about project management.

"Time is our most important resource. When we chose TimeLog Project it was our ambition to detect how much time we use on which projects. However, we are now registering all our project-related costs in the system, and TimeLog Project is definitely on the way to becoming our key financial management system. In this way TimeLog Project has gone from being a system mainly keeping track of time, to becoming our system of reference. TimeLog Project has replaced Navision in reference to all project-related work", says Mr. Michael Rasmussen.

Easy and Web-based

Besides being a system that has improved our economy and given us better control of resource usage, TimeLog Project – as a web-based system – is definitely an advantage in itself.

"Prior to TimeLog Project we used C5 to track time, but we wanted a web-based system. Many of our consultants work on different locations, and are therefore not constantly in their offices. It is much easier for them to register their time using a web-based time tracking system", says Mr. Lars Hornslet, financial manager at Stig Jørgensen & Partners.
