Implementation

If a new IT-system is to become successful it requires colaboration, an explicit common goal, support from the management and effective training.

Despite which IT system is to be implemented in the company it is always the organisational part of the implementation that is most problemetic.

Therefore we put great emphasis on ensuring that our customers get a detailed introduction to the system and effective training.

It is our goal and responsibility that our customers achieve their goals and gain success with TimeLog Project.

Our suggestion for the implementation process:
Clarification of company needs.
Product presentation.
TimeLog Project set-up.
Workshop and training.
Start-up and kick-off.
Evaluation and adjustment of the configuration.

Clarification of Company Needs

When a customer contacts TimeLog it is often at a time when the company is undergoing a specific process where the IT system's requirements have been identified and analysed.

The customers can either prepare their own specification of requirements that outlines their needs, requirements, and expectations, or they can get assistance from an external consultant or TimeLog.

Most importantly, they have to decide which of the company's processes the new system has to support and how it should be done.

Product Presentation

In most cases, TimeLog Project is first introduced through an online presentation. TimeLog calls the customer on a specific time agreed upon, and the customer is connected to the online meeting via a web browser. The customer sets the agenda by describing the company's needs and TimeLog's consultant shows how it is supported in TimeLog Project.

TimeLog Project Set-up

When the customer has decided to use TimeLog Project, TimeLog sets up a hosting site or an installed solution on the customer's server.

Workshop & Training

The next step is a strategic workshop where TimeLog Project is set up and configured to suit the customer's needs.

The customer learns how to use TimeLog project's features in the workshop. From basic time registration to new information about the company's business and efficiency, which the system can provide.

Start-up & Kick-off

Then TimeLog Project is implemented. Usually a brief kick-off meeting is held, where TimeLog Project is presented to all employees and the project members' tools are outlined. Then the system is implemented.

Evaluation and Adjustment of the Configuration

After a few months TimeLog Project has become an implemented part of your working day, and a fair amount of data has been stored in the system, which can be used for more detailed reports and analyses.

This is usually a good time to evaluate and adjust TimeLog Project's settings, and apply new functions if requested.

Most settings can be changed on an ongoing basis – without losing any historical data – which is why we recommend an adjustment after approximately 3 months.
