With TimeLog Departments you can divide TimeLog Project into a range of independent departments, so that this matches the organisational structure of the company.
TimeLog Departments supports a hierarchical department structure with subdivisions on as many as 4 levels.
A manager’s access to data and reports is limited to his/her own department and any subdivisions.
The higher you are seated in the organisation, the more reports you have access to – and can compare across departments.
TimeLog Project initially shows your own department and any subdivision´s' projects, employees etc. This makes it easier to command lists and overviews.
When a project is saved in TimeLog Departments both the employee’s and the project’s connection to a department is stated. It is thus possible to see how an employee from one department works on projects for other departments.
Especially the value that an internal department creates becomes evident – e.g. when a HR department sits in on recruitment for other departments.
All reports can show data from either the individual department or the entire company.
In addition to this, TimeLog Departments also contains special reports covering angles on project management and time registration, which are relevant for larger companies.
