Security in TimeLog Project

Various types of security

There are several types of security: Security of supply, secure storage of data and security against undesired access. TimeLog has taken all these into account.

Server administration and maintenance

TimeLog’s solutions are run from dedicated servers in an environment with fully duplicated RAID-SCSI hard drives, network cards etc.

Security in relation to hardware, routers, firewalls and internet access is handled by our hosting partner Progressive IT A/S.

Progressive IT is certified by Microsoft ASP Channel Partner and their core competence is data centre tasks and hosting. All security, backup and updates of the operating systems is likewise handled by Progressive IT.

Access via two independent suppliers

The internet access provided by Progressive IT’s data centre is duplicated by two independent suppliers. This results in 99.98% efficient uptime.

TimeLog has been cooperating with Progressive IT since 2003.

Encrypted access and fixed IP-numbers

TimeLog Project is run via a encrypted internet connection (HTTPS/SSL). We collaborate with VeriSign in relation to the SSL-encryption. Furthermore, TimeLog Project can be configured to allow access only to certain IP-numbers.

Backup

A full backup of all data is ensured every night as well as a continuous backup of the data base (transaction log). All backups are stored in fireproof environments in another physical location than our servers.

Installed solutions

It is possible to run TimeLog Project either as a hosting solution or to install it on the company’s own server. If TimeLog Project is installed the security and access is controlled via the company's own security installations.
