TimeLog Project 4.3

New features and improvements

Improving your daily work routines

Improved time registration, more powerful reporting and a better user experience have been the main priorities in TimeLog Project 4.3.

The focus areas in TimeLog Project 4.3 have been consistency and easing the daily work routines for our users. Both are crucial for a task like time registration, which is generally regarded as a necessary evil.

Project managers, coordinators, and bookkeepers use a number of TimeLog Project’s features on an ongoing basis. Given this fact we have done our best to optimise those interfaces for our core customers.

Managers can look forward to new tools for analysis and better options for existing reports in the new version of TimeLog Project.

As in previous versions, we introduce new technologies in TimeLog Project 4.3. The most obvious one is the web technology, AJAX, which among other things can be experienced in the integrated search feature accessible from all pages in TimeLog Project.

Of equal importance – but less eye-catching – is the transition to Microsoft .NET 2.0 that improves the general performance compared to .NET 1.1, and provides us with a range of new opportunities. We have used this effectively in version 4.3, and will continue to do so in future versions of TimeLog Project.

TimeLog’s designers have also been actively involved in version 4.3, and have given several parts of the system a facelift.

In overall terms, everybody from our development department is proud of TimeLog Project 4.3. We believe that this version has something for everybody, and that it plots a course in the right direction both technically and conceptually.
