TimeLog API is an interface that, via the internet, gives access to all data stored in TimeLog Project. With TimeLog API data can be reused and shown on e.g. the intranet or extranet or be integrated with ERP and CRM systems.
TimeLog API is based on the concept SOA, so TimeLog Project can e.g. be used to make project lists for the intranet or a Microsoft® Sharepoint™ installation.
TimeLog API is built on the technologies XML and Web Services. The benefits of these technologies are low costs and widespread use for integrating IT systems over the Internet.
TimeLog API is not activated by default. This means that access is denied until the system administrator adds the web services your company requires.
Access is set as encrypted data exchange via HTTPS/SSL and even though it can be disabled we strongly recommend using encrypted access only.
To use TimeLog API a certain amount of knowledge about programming is required. We recommend that you talk to your IT supplier, the IT department or TimeLog's Professional Services to evaluate your options.
